First Aid Level 3

This is the most advanced first-aid qualification that can be achieved. We recommend that all supervisors working for large companies get trained in level three first aid. This will ensure a very high standard of patient care and help reduce further injuries at places of employment. First aid is a requirement of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 and is enforced by the Department of Labour. The requirement is a minimum of 2 first aiders per company/building/section/level. The minimum ratio is 1 first aider per 50 people and it is recommended that as many people as possible in the organization be trained in first aid.
